Wow!  What a treat!  Last night my pastor took our worship team to VA Beach to hear Hillsongs United.  It was so awesome to spend time together worshipping and just receiving.  It reminded me of ORU days where we just soaked in so much, and I think I realized how that was necessary for that season.  Now, I can see that our team has the desire for excellence in music, however, we just need to continuously grow in having His heart as a team and as a church family in the way we worship.  Do you guys feel that you have to have the same "level" of intensity in worship and in church services that we had at ORU (or other places of great spiritual openness--for those who didn't go to ORU) as a necessity for growth in your personal walk?

Easter week for me was very different this year.....working at the church is always busy, but this year it seemed so easy to get caught up in the busyness (like life in America is), that the true meaning almost passed me by.  Seeing new faces and hearing from our children's workers that 12 children accepted Jesus into their hearts Sunday morning kind of brought it all back.  It makes all the efforts and hard work worth it, and reminds me how much it isn't about us anyway.

Preparing again for an Encounter weekend......we have those frequently at my church.  It is a weekend set aside for men, women, youth, or children, as the case may be, to encounter God separate from the distractions of this world.  It is a beginning of the process we walk people through here, after you have received Christ as your Savior, to help them deal with things from their past and present and placing God at the center of their future choices.  This upcoming weekend is called a Re-Encounter, which is for those who are currently leaders or are preparing to be leaders in the church.  It should be interesting as it is the first one we will have as a church.  As I am usually helping to organize or teach in someway and this weekend I am not, I want to go into this weekend with a heart to receive.

I thought I would try this out tonight.  I have been checking out other people's sites, and it is really cool to see people's hearts and thoughts and interests.  I am still figuring out how to do everything, so if anyone has any suggestions, I welcome them.
